Regarding a request for relocation, Florida Statutes state that  a presumption in favor of or against a request to relocate with the child does not arise if a parent or other person seeks to relocate and the move will materially affect the current schedule of contact, access, and time-sharing with the nonrelocating parent or other person.  The court must contemplate a number of factors to determine if the relocation is in the child’s best interest.

Relocation with a child is a very complicated family law issue.  It is extremely important to have a qualified and experienced family law attorney who can explain the relocation statute and how it applies to your specific circumstances.  Attorney Wade P.
