Under certain circumstances, parents may agree to the relocation of a child with one parent.  If both parties agree to the relocation of the child, they can present a signed, written agreement to the court.  The agreement must contain verbiage that reflects each party’s consent to the relocation; a defined time-sharing schedule for the nonrelocating parents; and any necessary transportation arrangements related to access or time-sharing.

The importance of an agreement that satisfies all of the requirements set out in the relocation statute cannot be understated.  If you and your child’s other parent have agreed to a relocation, contact Attorney Wade P. Luther of Family Law of Orlando.  Mr. Luther can review your agreement and ensure that it contains all of the necessary information and is properly presented to the court.  Contact experienced and qualified relocation attorney Wade P.
