Interrogatories are one of the many tools your Orlando Family Law Attorney can use to gain information during your divorce or paternity matter.  Florida Standard Family Law Interrogatories are written questions that must be answered under oath.  They ask the party to give detailed answers regarding information such as financial accounts, assets and liabilities and employment and education.  Florida law allows divorce attorneys to add up to ten additional questions, however, most do not.

Unless you were served with the Interrogatories with the initial divorce petition, you must provide your answers within 30 days.  If they were served with the initial petition, you have 45 days in which to answer.  The length and scope of the Interrogatories can be intimidating.  However, Florida law requires that you provide a response.  If you fail to do so, you may have a Motion to Compel filed against you.

Your Orlando Family Law Attorney can assist you in answering the Florida Family Law Interrogatories.  If you are in need of an attorney, please contact Family Law of Orlando by email or by calling (407) 835-9900.  We can schedule an initial consultation with Attorney Wade P.
