Who will make decisions for your children after your Florida Divorce is finalized?  Every Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage or Marital Settlement Agreement must address this issue as part of the Parenting Plan.  In most situations, parents will continue to share decision-making authority for their children’s daily activities.  However, there are cases in which couples disagree on major issues such as health care or school.  When this is the case, the Parenting Plan can designate one parent to make specific decisions.

If you and your spouse cannot agree on who should make major decisions for your children, the judge will make the determination at trial.  Be sure to discuss any concerns you may have regarding future decision-making for your children with your Orlando Divorce Attorney so he can represent your concerns to the trial judge.
