There are times in family law when amending a petition or counter-petition may be necessary.  The Petition is a pleading that is filed in the beginning a of your family law matter.  As you progress through the case, circumstances may change or previously unknown information may become known.  An amended Petition or Counter-Petition may be filed to inform the court of a new request or claim you wish to make.

The Petition is a critical part of any family law matter.  If you feel that you have new information that requires amending your Petition or Counter-Petition, discuss the situation with your experienced family law divorce attorney or family law paternity lawyer.

If you have not chosen an attorney and would like to schedule an initial consultation with Orlando Attorney Wade P. Luther of Family Law of Orlando, please contact our office by email or by calling (407) 835-9900.
